Compared with any other great events dedicated to the Beauty of design, Il Salone del Mobile has the power to bring the world to Milan for a week like no other.
I am following Il Salone since more than 10 years. Growing as a lifestyle journalist got me to Milan every year to the event as furniture design was one of the first industries that attracted me to the universe of premium lifestyle. And no other place than Italy would have been able to transform a commercial phenomenon into a celebration of Beauty in all its forms. Besides the Fair happening within the modern premises of Milano Fiera in Rho Pero, there are hundreds of expositions and social exercises all over the city, specially in the artistic part called Brera. For sure all the professionals of the industries connected come to Il Salone to buy or to sell for their business but my recommendation is also for any person eager to understand why we should be grateful for the times we’re living.
I recommend a big slice of Art and Design culture next to a big plate of prosciutto and a glass of prosecco. Be sure to pass by Cafe Radetzky for an aperitvo and try to walk in the center as much as you can for a positive vibe like you’ll hardly find in another place!
